Experiment

An analysis experiment that looks for relationships inside a mix and presents evidence, confidence and possible approaches without changing the audio.

This is an experiment, not a confirmed product. Its name, direction and existence may change.

The question

Can a mix-analysis tool be useful without pretending there is one objectively correct mix?

REVELA explores a system that observes gain, dynamics, spectrum, stereo behaviour and relationships between tracks. It does not process the signal. Its role is to reveal patterns that may affect clarity, balance or translation, then leave the decision with the producer.

The direction

The current concept uses lightweight analysis instances on individual tracks and a central overview on the master or monitor bus. Local measurements can then be interpreted in context: a vocal and guitar occupying similar upper-mid energy is more meaningful than either measurement alone.

Findings are framed as possibilities rather than verdicts. Each one can explain the likely issue, its possible impact, a confidence level and relevant approaches. The language is deliberately cautious: reveal, do not dictate.

What remains unresolved

Useful guidance depends on reliable measurements, stable communication between instances and explanations that do not overwhelm the session. The experiment still needs to prove where analysis genuinely helps and where listening should remain the only answer.
